Media Matters and major LGBT orgs team on 'Don't Lie, Don't Misinform' campaign for honest coverage

You don't often see a collaboration within the LGBT and ally community like this, but it's clear that it's needed if we are going to see the repeal of DADT in 2010.  Given that we've seen the hard work done to address health care reform come unraveled by Congress and this administration's floundering and susceptibility to lies spread by right wing opponents and special interests that are protecting huge profits, we cannot afford to have the media ignore the effort to lift the ban on gays and lesbians openly serving in the military.

We certainly cannot sit back and let the media spin this as if there are two sides to the issue. Elaine Donnelly and her pals, have been discredited time and again -- based on her idiotic and homo-obsessive "flow charts" alone she doesn't deserve 10 seconds on any media outlet. But you know she is on the media's rolodex. So is Tony Perkins. So is John McCain.

And to make it clear that the community is watching, this letter has been released:
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde
