Can Get On with life now

Well had my first psychiatrist appointment so now can breathe a sigh of relief. Don't have a clue how it went but when you hate talking to strangers being sat in a room with two of them no questions being asked to start you off just told to talk is a nightmare. and everything i said that had anything to do with gender was answered with the word 'why?' Anyway an hour later he said that for someone who didn't like talking i'd done a lot of it. I'm going back in a fortnight to do my biography- no gender involved this time then i have a 3rd meeting before they decide whether to refer me to a gender clinic. so i'm still in the dark about whats happening and i've been told that everything he wrote down today will be used at a further date to try and trip me up but at least its over. Life can sort of go back to normal now, the pounding in my head seems to have gone

Not sure who told you that, but if it is the case, then it's just to ensure you haven't been feeding a lot of bull.

It's never a good idea to lie and it's especially never a good idea to lie to professional interviewers.

But, having said that, relax. be yourself. Be honest at all times. Keep focused on what you want.

  i was honest. well i didnt deliberately lie but when you ask an adult what he was feeling as a teenager a lot of the answers were "i don't know" How can you explain something that just feels right inside. Anyway never mind its over for a fortnight. I've already made a few decisions about my future whatever happens with this so i'm a lot happier. Feel like i can relax and be me nw
