Athletic South Africa (ASA) has barred controversial sprinter Caster Semenya from competing in track and field meets until the IAAF releases her gender test results in June.

The 800 metres world champion had announced a comeback, following her long absence since the Berlin world championships last August, which brought her gender into question.

"We have had a meeting with Caster and her coach on Tuesday night, where we discussed the rules of the IAAF relevant to this particular case," said Richard Stander, assistant administrator at ASA.
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde
