Hi

my name is Ash.
since I was born ive been a tomboy, mostly to the fact that i didnt even focus on the fact i was born a girl as i did everything a boy would do, dressing, games, toys etc.
When i was 12 i joined an online game as a boy. Since then i've continued to be recognised as a boy, i have even posted pictures of me dressed as a boy making it more believable. I enjoy the people I know online and I am more bonded to them than those in real life.
When i got to highschool I realised dressing as a boy ( in boy clothes ) would not work if I wanted to not be seen as a weirdo, so I ditched my jeans and boy tops for something simple ; plain jeans and a top with a small design on it. I've managed to keep my hair fairly short but if I cut it any shorter than it is now ( up to my chin around abouts ) my friends start telling me like 'noo you suited that hair way better' and my sister starts saying all 'you look like a boy', which little does she know is what i aim for.

Last year I messaged my mum saying i want to be a boy, and although she took it well she just left it with her reply of its probably just a phase.

I dont think this is the case, Its gone on for too long and any opportunity to grab on some good guy clothes and move my hair to look like it, i will take it. For example if I sleep at a friends house I will just wear some boxers and a jumper or a top, and you could probably say i look like a boy. I feel okay doing this because even though they dont know that I want to be a boy, i feel comfortable wearing these clothes around them. I also like to not shave my legs sometime (hahha it doesnt look bad i dont grow them like loooong ) and i do it so often when i go to school me and my friends joke about when was the last time i shaved. I just feel more comfortable not shaving them !

What do you think i should do? anything you can tell me would be really good
Thanks

Welcome to Susan's!

Doesn't sound like a phase, especially since you've been that way since your earliest days. Good luck with your mom.

Hey Ash.
Im similar to you as I was always a tomboy and loved male things. Most people think im a boy online on my PS3 lol. Unlike you though I haven't come out to my mum.
If you are really serious about being a boy its best to see your doctor and then they should refer you to a gender clinic who will help you to transistion into a male if thats what you want.
I hope all goes well
:)
