I didn't want discussion of my avitar to derail the other thread.

Isn't your avatar from the Star Trek Original Series? It looks like that era of film. Goodness.

I change my avitar every month, honoring the unknown guest actresses from the the original Star Trek.  They were very meaningful role-models for me when I was growing up.  Roddenberry had a great eye for beauty, and for talent.  He took advantage of the huge pool of beautiful, hopeful actesses in the classic casting couch manner of the era.

So these women had to whore for the chance to make great art.  Some of them put on fabulous performances.  I think there is a real beauty in the combination.

The woman I am using this month, she played a barbarian who barely spoke.  But her physicality in playing that role, tending her wounded lover, playing along with Kirk and then outsmarting him, without ever saying a word – was just fabulous.
It's easier to change your sex and gender in Iran, than it is in the United States.  Way easier.

Please read my novel, Dragonfly and the Pack of Three, available on Amazon - and encourage your local library to buy it too! We need realistic portrayals of trans people in literature, for all our sakes
