Mike Heath is chairman of a designated hate group

I don't want any important component of his colorful history and resume to be overlooked.
Of the greatest importance, in my opinion, is the fact that Heath is chairman of the organization, Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH).
AFTAH'S sole purpose is to repeal and/or prevent any civil, state or employment rights given to the Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender community. Of further note, AFTAH has recently been designated as a national hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Project, which tracks such groups and provides information about them.
