Jurors in Transgender Beating Case To Continue Deliberations

MEMPHIS, TN-- They've had a few nights to sleep on it, and on Monday the jury in the Duanna Johnson jailhouse beating trial will try one more time to reach a verdict.

After three days of deliberating, the jury ended the week deadlocked.

Leslie Ballin, one of the Mid-South's leading criminal defense attorneys, shared his thoughts on the hold-up. He believes it is good news for Bridges McRae, the former Memphis cop who is on trial.

"There's been enough deliberation to where the jury is probably split up into camps at this point" says Ballin. "Some want to vote one way, some the other."
