I wouldn't recommend Spanish: the word has a male gender.

"Nun-Uhh...itis an "ambidextrous" word that connotacts the usage for something in between...i.e. (a veces "male" y veces "female")...Un Andrógino...y since Yo associate mySELF in the male-gender... Yo uso la forma..."andrógino" (men) who associate themselves as females can put an (a) at the end, but because of the word associate form, it is a masculine word, but remember, ONLY in word association...so it's ok to say: Soy una andrógina (if you consider yourself a female) or, Yo soy un andrógino (if you consider yourself male)....¿ Entiendes...Tu ? ;D

The point being that androgyne is one who considers themself neither or both, not only one or the other.

To kat;
QuoteIt seemed to me that you didn't get what silverfang meant.

"Sooo what's not to understand...???" There is NO gender when you use this word either in spanish or english...[unless one feels as though they need to put it in gender form o/a] soo listen to what I am saying [because] "Soy andrógino" means that I or, [whom-ever is saying it] IS androgynous...it has nothing to do with the word standing as a "male-gender" if I were to say: I am a book in spanish it would be: Soy un libro, [also male form], however [again], it doesn't matter who says it because the sentence itself is neutral; Please don't insult me by saying "I didn't get what Silverfang meant..." Because the word is what it is in spanish, just as the word is in english [neutral]; and therefore, is not meant to denote male or female...but rather some-one that is neither female-o-male...!!! I think the confusion comes from the word ending in -o- [...and that is understandable]...

SOooo then maybe one should say: Soy Andrógino/a >:-)
