)Note to mods/admins: I'm not sure whether this topic belongs in either this forum or the art forum, but I'll pop it here since its transgender-related)

What do you all think of this banner I whipped up in Photoshop? :D Lol transpride <3

The banners design is supposed to show the boy symbol which represents the mft trans reaching towards the pink-side (the feminine side) of the banner while the girl symbol which represents the ftm trans reaching for the blue-side (the masculine side), as it is with us trans, we are reaching our desired genders; in the middle of the banner, the struggling gender symbols are linked together representing the support each gives the other as we are united as a single community. :)

Please feel free to make a comment about what you think of the banner or make suggestions on how the meaning behind iit could be better depicted :)

I think that it's great! I wonder if we would want to add "trans pride" to the flag somewhere? What does everyone else think?

Hooray!! I think we need our own flag separate from the gay pride rainbow. Everyone agree?

I personally prefer to not have the male and female symbols in a trans pride flag.  Just makes it looks like a heterosexual pride flag if you ask me.

Haha I think MY flag looks stylish, FABulous and more expressive than the official one :P I really just wanted to express the feeling of "reaching" i get from the trans community :)

I suppose it does, however, gender identity and sexuality are two different things, I think since the banner has nothing ta do with sexuality it's safe from confusion :police: The banner is supposed to "blend/merge" or "make non-binary" the two gender polarities, thats all :)

How would you express trans community in a banner? <3

I was looking at the flag as if I had never seen it before or knew it meant something specific at all.  I think to someone that wouldn't know it was about the blending of gender polarities, they would perceive it as much different than what you intend and would certainly be confused.

I like the color scheme... Maybe putting Transgender at the top and PRIDE at the bottom in a matching color scheme would look good  :)

Lots of girls have suggested putting text on the banner! I'll see what I can do then :)

I agree with your first statement... One doesn't often see text on flags. I think it's perfect the way it is, but that's just my $0.02 (us). :)

It's very pretty. Are you planning on using this in a parade though? The only problem I see, is that the colors tend to blend a bit too much so at a distance they will bleed together and it won't be as noticeable.

Yes there are, at least one, its in SF the day before Pink Saturday.  And they have some sort of logo, a mixing of the two symbols with a third added.

all this stuff is in america.. :( Doesn't look like theres anything happening here in the UK, theres no clubs or societies, no parades, no decent forums and no way to find out about anything at all anywhere on the internet....

Its lonely being a trans in the UK :(
