Hi I'm new here so I hope this is the right place to post this:
Atheists claim to be progressive and understanding of gay and transgendered people. But, on a forum I'm a part of, this is clearly not the case. There is a transgendered woman who posts there, and goes by the name of Vexing. Ever since she's been on the site, she has been harassed, mocked, and ridiculed because she is trans. Even the admins took part. They ask inappropriate questions as well. I've tried my best to educate them, but they just don't seem to understand. What I'm getting at is, would anyone here be willing to try to explain to these people the situation with trans people? Take these threads for example.

Of course I'm not trying to recruit people or anything, just wanting to educate. If you want to participate, that's fine. I have a transgendered friend, so this issue is a big deal to me.
