I attended an international workshop where experts from more than 20 countries came together. As it suddenly becomes summer, I hurried to purchase a semi-formal jacket. Near my home, I picked up one at ca. US$ 45. The workshop was held in 42nd floor of a downtown hotel here. I took some photos, but indoor photos are hazy. I do not think my fashion today was unusual, but anyway a lot of people watched me in the street and also in the hotel. I entered men's bathroom in the hotel, but women's in the street. While I sat to rest in the lobby, no man sat near me, but women did. Sometimes I became upset when an aged man continued to watch me for too long time. And, I am tired of those drivers who ask me for direction, and I decided to ignore them, whether they are men or women. But, I guess that, at least, they are not afraid of me. Do I look too friendly to them? I'm not quite sure.

You have a nice simple style, Barbie.  I like it.  I am surprised it drew any attention at all.  People--men--can always be too observant and focused on one thing.  I am certain that old man had a few dirty thoughts in his head.  Women are, almost always, attention getters, so do be ready for unwanted attention.

I think the aged man may have been staring at you because he likes to stare a attractive women. But you may have a bit of androgyny thing going there and some people are curious as to your gender, which might account for the direction requests. I think your look is pretty reserved, really. I think you just look like a slender lady.

Velinda, thanks.

I wore semi-casual jackets this week, and my female colleagues commented that my attire is nice. Just one objection from them: not exposing my belly button. My white tee is too short for me, unavoidably exposing my lower belly. Fasten buttons could hide my belly. http://i943.photobucket.com/albums/ad278/barbie_pictures/20100514_13s.jpg

Lylic,

Indeed. They usually do not call me like 'sir' or 'ma'am', instead just shout like "hello".

Congratulations - I think that you "passed" with both genders.

Yes, Carol.

Yesterday night I had a drinking party time with my colleagues and friends at a beer bar. The owner is a young lady with adorable body figure and fashion sense, and that is why I frequently go there. I once straightforwardly told her that her fashion is indeed at high class. She and her employees know me very well.

But, yesterday night, she first did not recognize me. She commented that that was because I let down my hair.

Under my semi-formal jacket, I wore a grey one-piece tee that exposes my shoulder so much. After  I took off my jacket, I found that the tee was stretchable and desinged to expose my shoulder more and more as time goes by. It hardly covered my bra. To my eyes, my attire was provoking compared with other women there. And frankly speaking, my appearance in the mirror looked so sexy to my eyes.

The bar was crowded, and we chatted and laughed loudly. And, inevitably I had to go to the rest room. Not just once, but several times. And I used women's. Most women entering there even did not try to meet my eyes.

Yes. I passed with both genders at the same place and at the same time!

BTW, Barbie, I love your current avatar pic with the striped top and the blue leggings. You look so cute. I think it's your attitude there (as well as fashion).

Lylic, thanks. Two days ago, one of my close male friends who hates my crossdressing suddenly commented that I look like Mona Lisa. I replied that there is a theory that Mona Lisa might have been a crossdresser or a transgender. Androgynous + some feminity.

With that leggings, I do not worry about tucking. Most people think I am a biological woman after watching the tucking area in the photo  :D

I purchased it at ca. $5-10 in a Target store about 6 years ago.  It is so much endurable, and l still wear it. Other leggings I purchased 2+ years ago now have one or two holes, especially in the tucking area  :-\ I hope to purchase them in a Target stgore when I visit the states this fall.

That's surprising because just about all the clothing I've ever bought at Target was rather low quality: labels that fall off exposing sticky glue, hems that fray loose and so forth. I have better luck at Wal-Mart where they carry a few decent quality brands.
