Dallas DART was recently accused of discriminating against a post op employee who transitioned on the job, refusing to let her present as female even though she had srs 3 years ago. When she got a court ordered gender change and presented it to them in February 2010, DART lawyers allegedly met with the judge and got the court order rescinded. So this news is very welcome. The Texas legislature also voted unanimously last year to allow transgendered persons to present a court ordered gender change to get a marriage license, so these documents are legitimate and important (especially since Texans still can't get their birth certificates amended). Any sign of progress is heartening.
