I just got my 4th month blood work done, i went to my doc and she said that my testosterone level is at 86... Im not sure if thats in the female range? She kept me on the same dosage of spiro but increased my estrogen... i also switched from estradiol pills to delestrodiol injections... does anyone know the conversion of how much MG in pill form is equal to the Mg/ml in injection equal to? thanks ladies and gents

I don't know but, more estrogen will help reduce your T.

Also the spiro competes with T rather than knock it down, so you can't really directly compare your T levels with other females. You might have more T but not much of it will be affecting your body.

So mine at 0.7 is probably a bit low LOL! :D Doesn't seem to have done any harm to my libido or energy levels though - so I guess I don't need it!

It depends of the unit of measurement.

For females the reference range is about 0.7 - 3.0 nmol/L or 20 - 85 ng/dL.

So 0.7 nmol/L is fine.

You're fine. I am not even on t yet and my t level is 138. Normal is like 70 or so, but yours is fine

Hi there,

Mine is 0.4 at the last bloods a few weeks ago and my surgeon wanted it to be between 2.5/3.5 or less before surgery so I'm fine in that respect. 0.4 is probably on the low side but they didn't seem bothered about it and I'm not as I hated T in my body.

Get your doctor to give you a copy of the lab sheet, or ask if you can see it -- the ranges the lab uses should be on there (usually). The measuring ranges can vary lab to lab, as well as the units used.

I met with my endo today for my blood test results from 1 month post-op and my testosterone level is at 20, the lowest its ever been for me. I'm thrilled, no more spiro  :)

mine is at 23 which I thought was in the normal range... looking forward to no more spiro myself :)

I had mine done last week and it was 0.5. Every time I've had a blood test it's around the same reading.

I have the lab sheet in front of me.(Reference ranges)
Testosterone, total: 2-45 ng/dl
Free testosterone%: 0.50-2.00 %
Testosterone, free: 0.1-6.4 pg/ml

And DHEA-sulfate: 45-320 mcg/dl

I'm within range for everything but my total T is 39. Does this seem a bit high for a ciswoman? I think so.

Wow something must not be working for me then.  Mine was about 500 ng/dL so my doc put me on even more spiro... That's odd because my estrogen was within the nominal female range.

I'm so scheduling an orchie as soon as I land my new job.

Hi Maddie,

Your estrogen can be within normal range and your T be really high, the thing with that is one is fighting the other and that will affect feminisation of the body.
