Carl E. Shy

Hello!

Half my friends call me, Carl and the other half call me, Carly. I'm pretty much androgynous, so you can call me either of those names (it'll be interesting to see how ppl address me in the following posts).

First, let me tell you about my situation (then the fun part):
Most of my family thinks I'm just a tomboy, my parents especially. I go to a private Christian college, which has strong rules about homosexuality and anything that looks like it, so I always have someone from the administration keeping an eye one me. Thing is, I earned an incredible academic scholarship there and I'm gonna graduate in one more year, so I can't really leave. Luckily, I have amazing friends who love me no matter what, and surprisingly at least half of them are gay/bi (and not just the half that call me Carl :P ). I'm telling you guys this because I'm trying to find a safe place to learn/question/discuss with people things are important to me. I'm androgynous in sexuality (call it "bi" if you want) and also in lifestyle, and for about 20 years I've been struggling with, I guess you would say, my gender identity.

the fun part!:
I like eco-friendly things, but I'm not a super-liberal nut; I just approve of better ways to make dildos, instead of with plastic. I prefer bicycle riding vs. cars/trains/planes, but sometimes that gets in my way because my partner currently lives 1,000 miles away. I'm artistic, majoring in CW (and Soc). I don't smoke or drink, but I don't care if you do! :D  I'm really just a down-to-earth kind of person who wants to socialize about something I care about.

So once again, hiya! :)

ps.. :/ I think i screwed up on that poll thingy. I just realized how it works. T_T

Hi Carl, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 4800 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another andro. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Hugs and Love,
Janet

Don't worry about the poll  ; )

Wecome Carl!

I went with Carl cause Janet did first  ;D , but I'm curious what you really prefer.

Sounds like we have some things in common.  I started college at a private Catholic college majoring in communications and art, but unfortunately I didn't have a scholarship, and my grades started going way down hill when I realized the school was a horrible fit for me, so I was out of there.  I still kind of wish I had stuck it out and graduated though.

And bikes are awesome. I sold my car almost 4 years ago, and almost never regret it.

Welcome aboard. Plenty of androgynes around here, my spouse one of them. So you have alot of peers.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Crow

Nice to meetcha Carl[y]!

I'm Diane, or Crow. Either works. I also happen to be an artistic androgyne who likes sociology and doesn't smoke or drink! I do believe we will get along nicely~

Thank you! All of you. ^_^

I guess you guys can call me Carl. I enjoy more masculine things anyway. :)

Hey C, welcome onboard. Lot's of funky, little chests here that you can open up to check what's inside. Some contents might confuse you others amuse - but really, just have a load of fun with it. See you 'round the boards.  8)

Hey C.

You sound like a pretty cool person to me. Carl/Carly both sound great.

I'm Jenny. You'll find a lot of the gender rebels hang out in the AG section. We're a diverse bunch in there even if we do at times tend to get a bit obsessed with fruitcake! ;D (it's a running joke)

Anyways welcome aboard.
