I try so hard not to climb up on a soapbox here at Pam's House Blend. I know when one preaches a lot, folk lose interest in what one says. Folk don't like to be beaten over the head with opinions, and sometimes stepping on the soapbox feels to the congregation -- I mean reading audience -- like one is beating one over the head with personal opinion.

However, indulge me in a post on the Don't Ask, Don't Tell (DADT) compromise, as well as a brief bit on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). Hey, I handcuffed myself the White House Fence last April 20th over DADT, so I think I should speak to the subject of the proposed DADT compromise legislation as a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) intra-community ally on this LGB-specific issue...and the proposed DADT compromise actually is impact on ENDA legislation in the House of Representatives.
