Lack of estrogen?

Don't play around with low oestrogen levels! I am like a zillion years post-op and was on oral medication for years by a well-meaning but non-expert doctor. As a result I ended up with osteoporosis. When I finally asked for a referral to a knowledgeable  endocrinologist she was appalled and immediately put me on the strongest patch available. My oestrogen levels are now normal and the osteoporosis is gone.

Hi Naturally Blonde

I did not take my hormones for a couple of years and I felt miserable, did not have any get up and go and my health suffered in a couple of ways.

Going back on to my hormones,  my life has changed around dramatically and people have noticed how much I have changed how happy I am and yes I see have seen numerous changes as well, especially the glow that comes from face from being happy all the time .  Luckily I did not get osteoporosis (I just recently had the test done).

As Chrissty said, "Demand Treatment".

Best wishes

Kind regards
Sarah B

Thank you so much for rubbing salt in the wounds Sarah. You can demand all you want and now I have had threatening letters from the GP's practice since I reported them to the PCT for stopping my meds ( including my blood pressure tablets).

The more you demand, the worse and uglier the situation gets and sometimes it's best to move on and leave the area. The U.K it is a postcode lottery when it comes to Gender Dysphoria sufferers.

Hi Naturally Blonde

I had no knowledge as to what you have done and I would never "rub salt into the wounds".  I'm sorry about the situation you are currently in.  However, your health and well being is the most important thing and needs to be resolved.

Since the doctor has sent threatening letters to you, then I would suggest, you send copies of those letters to the PCT, that is not acceptable under any circumstances.

Kind regards

Hi Sarah,

It's a waste of time reporting the GP to the PCT as they are biased against me also. Believe it or not PCT's can be biased against someone who is TS. Plus they continue to go on about the fact that HRT is only licensed for natal females. It's a no win situation and the only way out is for me to find somewhere else to live where people have better attitudes if I want to progress.

I am lucky I have TS friends who can provide me with my continued HRT and anti - androgens but it shouldn't be like this after 10 years of HRT and even more years of transition down the line.

Hi Northern Jane

How long did it take for your normal bone density to return to normal?

My results from my osteoporosis test was borderline in one instant (hip or spine) and my doctor said at least we have a baseline to compare with the next time I have the test done.

Kind regards
