Finding a packer offline... impossible?

I actually drove out of my way today (over 30 minutes away from home) to go to the nearest Spencer's Gifts to see if they had any packers. The cashier was very nice, asked me what I was looking for. She didn't know what a packer was, so I had to explain to her I was looking for a flaccid/rubber penis. XD I've never said that out loud before LOL. I couldn't believe Spencer didn't carry anything like that. =/ Very dissapointing. I saw tons of vibrators, but no packers. Are any of you guys familiar with any local shops that would carry such a thing? Or maybe you have some DIY tips on making a packer from household items? (In the past, I have packed with socks, but kind of want to upgrade, if it's at all possible without ordering online).

We've got some quality sex toy stores around here. DJ knows dick has some tips on making a pretty good DIY packer.

Oooh, I really like the DIY gel packer idea! Much cheaper/easier than going out to buy a packer. Hmm... now I just need to buy some nylon stockings and condoms... ^^;;;

It ends up costing just a bit more to get a legit packer which would end up lasting longer.
12 pack of condoms: $10
Hair gel: $1
Pantyhose: $5
packer from babeland with shipping: $24

Stores that carry them definately exist.  And aren't really DIY.

I know for a FACT there's a place in Seattle and NY called Babes in Toyland (www.babeland.com IF you wanna browse online) that carry them.

It's actually a quite nice friendly place to shop.

I'd post a link to the website, but I think I'm still too newbie on these forums to be able to do that sort of thing. :D

*Edit*  Oops, just realized that  Nygeel mentioned babeland. :D  They do have retail stores though!

The only thing about getting it online is it would ship here and I still live with my parents, and they sometimes are curious about what stuff I get in the mail. x.x So for now, DIY gel packer sounds like my best option, but I'll be sure to browse around online for future purchases.

Getting it shipped to a friend is always a possibility. I used to get my binders shipped to the LGBT youth center I used to work at.

I made a video about packing on youtube. I used the hair gel condom method at first before I got my packer, with free condoms from the gay bar, bouncy balls, hair gel, and a sock. Pretty simple and cheap. Why pay money for condoms...c'mon now.

I can get free condoms from my LGBT center. But I have to say that they're not the kind of brand I would entrust to a load of hair gel in my knickers...

Gee whiz, if we can't trust the free condoms to hold hair gel, how can we trust them to hold in some enthusiastic spunk?  But I know what you're saying, I just think that I'd want a condom to be sturdy no matter what I'm going to use it for!

I've never used the free condoms to make a packer, but I've used them on dildos. Not impressed. But maybe your LGBT center has better rubbers.

The LGBT group on our college campus is VERY small (like what, 3-4 people??). I don't know if they'd carry condoms, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask? LOL

I have made the DJ knows dicks packer and it worked great! It lasted me like five months (even if you tend to leave it on the floor and then step on it. I've done that alot. FEELS HORRIBLE EW) Um, not the most real feeling/looking thing ever.. (Kinda looks like some alien slug being.. fun to squish, at least. :x ) If you do make this one make sure you use NON LUBRICATED condoms! Trojan was the only brand I found that was unlubricated.

But! For the same price you can go to early 2 bed's website and look at their packers. I bought mine for 16 USD after shipping and they have a coupon which you can find with google. IT WORKS SO AWESOMELYYY @w@ I've had it for a few weeks, and I even made a STP out of it successfully! <<< Shows how.

SO yeah. Either way is great, but buying the actual packer from early 2 bed will last longer, looks more real, and is easier to keep clean... The DJ knows dicks one gets icky from sweating, and the condoms may pop if you play too rough with it. Never happened to me, and as I said, I stepped on mine quite often.

Totally NOT impossible. Some adult novelty stores aka sex shops carry them. Not spencers though, they're more of a R rated store &you don't have to be 18+ to go into there. I actually got my first packer, a Mr. Limpy, from a shop. It was basically free, cause my gf at the time had won some gift certificates at pride. So just look around, there's tons of shops around me near and far. Idk where you live, but im sure there's a few around you also.
