The Russian River Resort in Guerneville is expecting a standing-room-only crowd for its annual F. Charles Knipp performance Friday, June 18, but some people believe the show should be canceled.

Calling Knipp's performance as the character Shirley Q. Liquor racist, an ad hoc group of people have posted a petition on the Internet to stop him. They have also sent letters to local newspapers and the Russian River Resort management and posted comments on the resort's Facebook site.
