I'm starting to seriously save up for surgery now, and I'm trying to estimate costs.

How much does peri currently cost with Fischer? I've seen transbucket results, but an accurate up-to date figure would be great.

My mum mentioned that some surgeons do an inclusive deal kind of thing, where you can get your flight, accommodation and surgery in a package deal. Is this true? I didn't believe her, but thought I may as well ask here, lol.

What are the names of some budget accommodation hotels or whatever. (near Timonium, Baltimore)
Obviously I'd like somewhere nice enough to stay, but at a good price. As long as there's a bed and no rats, it's all good.

What about getting drains removed and stuff? Would a nurse come over, or would I have to go back to Dr Fischer's clinic thing to get it done?

Roughly how long would I have to stay after surgery before heading home again? Would I even be allowed to fly after surgery?

Thanks :) Please include anything else that you think may be helpful.

I've never heard of a nurse coming to you to do something.  Most likely you'll have to go back to get the drains removed.

I actually found this just today.  I think it answers most of your questions.

I am actually going to Fischer for my top surgery really soon.  The stuff in the link that Farm Boy posted is accurate except for the price, which has gone up since then.  My surgery costs $7300 (not peri, but I think she charges the same for both) plus $100 for the consult the day before surgery.  Also, you have to get bloodwork and a physical done, plus you will get a prescription for pills that you will need to get filled, which also can cost quite a bit if you pay out of pocket.

Ideally she wants you to stick around for about a week to ten days after your surgery for drain removal, but that is not always feasible for everybody.  You can have a surgeon back at home do it, but since you will be coming from the UK, it would be better that you get them removed by Dr. Fischer herself. You will probably be allowed to fly after surgery, but it will probably suck a lot, especially with the drains since they will be a hassle with security and you would have to get up during the flight to drain them a couple of times.  So by my estimates, if you fly in the day before the consult (she does them in the morning so you will want to be there the day before so you will not be late), have your surgery the next morning, and get the drains removed 10 days later (the longest of the estimated time for drains) then fly home the same day, you would be spending 13 days and 12 nights in the area.

Absolutely fantastic, thanks guys.
I'll stay 10 days or more then as I'm not doing an overnight flight with drains in.

Last questions: I'm in the UK and I'm under the impression that I'll need a B2 visa. Does anyone know any more about this?

Would I be able to email pictures to Dr Fischer to see if peri would be a good option? I know I'm within the cup size, but worry about areolas/nipples. If so, what the hell do I write in the email? I'm awful at that kind of thing :-\

Yeah, that's fine. It'll be that Bettye nurse I imagine.
