Facial changes on T?

This has prolly been asked and answered numerous times, but here we go again.

I know of all the expected physical changes that happen with T; lowered voice, increase in body and facial hair, fat redistribution etc etc  But some people also seem to experience changes to the planes of their faces, such that they look more masculine.

Now, I have no idea if this is just part of the fat redistribution thing or whether changes in bone structure actually happen.  But I would be interested to know as I have a very femmy face and would love to acquire a more masculine look if and when I transition.

Anyone know anything on this?

I know for certain that the bridge of my nose got wider.

Just for a laugh I'll post a before and after.

Pre transition

4 months on T

Hard to say whats changed really, jaw is more square, cheeks are less chubby, nose is bigger. I think the pictures say more than I could.

Bloody hell, Greg!  That is a HUGE change and very heartening.  You look great!  Thanks for that.

That IS heartening. I would love a less female looking face too.

I think it's largely related to the change of fat patterns on T. Even if you don't think you have alot of "face fat" pre-T, you do have some. I didn't think I did but my facial structure would beg to differ.

I too cannot wait for this change! Only 2-3 more months until I start T (yay!) and then we'll see how the face changes go after that. :)

I should put up a newer photo for my avatar, as that one's from late last year and doesn't quite represent my face as it is now.

The bridge of my nose has definitely become more jutted. My jaw line has squared out, but my chin is still pointed. I lost some of the flab in my cheeks, and my eyebrows went from thick to bushy. Also, my neck thickened a lot, which gives a more masculine feel to the overall shebang.

Wow chaps!  This is wonderful news!  Yes, the changes may be subtle, but they add up to a great deal.

@Ryan: Lulz. I wish I'd had the foresight to document my changes properly in photos. Good thinking, and the changes are definite.

Your bones thicken up on T which also helps facial changes.

A lot of guys also get puffy cheeks for a while when they first start T. Some have attributed this to water weight, so it can possibly be kept down by staying hydrated and avoiding high sodium. I didn't experience any facial changes besides puffy cheeks until about a year on T.

... I wonder if that's why my eyes are bit puffy sometimes.

My face puffed up during the first 3 or so months.  More some days than others, but since then I haven't had a problem.

Bioguys seem to get this too, so at least we're not unusual.

It'll just become more proportionate to your bigger face.

That's alright then if my face is gonna go bigger and my head is too.

I can also start wearing hats.

Yeah, you'll probably retain a bit of water til your body gets used to the T. Happened to me and a friend of mine. I never realized that under all the stupid fat on my face (which I didn't think I had alot of)...that my jawline and stuff were actually squarer than I thought.
