I've been looking at the Pride Month speech by President Obama for a couple of days now, and something about the speech is nagging me. Or should I say that there have been real Obama Administration coups for transgender community members, and I noticed that the President mentioned none of these achievements in his speech.

For example, here are some very significant accomplishments:

• The Obama Administration has appointed the first publicly-out-at-the-time-of-appointment transgender appointees, such as Amanda Simpson and Dylan Orr.

Here's the Obama Administration appointees who President Obama acknowledged in his Pride Month speech (links added):
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde

I think they're reading a bit too much into this... After all; the 'pride' event is mostly known as 'gay pride.' Since bisexuality and ->-bleeped-<-(?) are not homosexuality, it's an easy thing to overlook, don't you think?
Gosh; I nearly expect them to wánt to be offended.
