Underworks FTM Swimsuits - Works?

With summer being here and all, it's kind of hard to avoid swimming and the beaches, especially if you live in California like me (I'm just stereotyping lol).

Honestly, I love swimming, surfing, body boarding, scuba diving, anything that has to do with the waters. I used to be a lifeguard for a while and all, but ever since I came out as FTM and been living my life as a guy, it's harder to actually do the things I love due to the fact that there's no real...swim wear for FTM guys.

So when Underworks offered a FTM Swimsuit, I was pretty happy but I'm still pretty iffy about it. I was wondering if anyone else has tried it? If so, how did it go? Did it work pretty well?

I plan on purchasing one of these as a gift to myself for my birthday, well at least the tank part of it (I can live without the shorts). And if I do end up wearing it, I'll probably wear a rash guard over it just to be on the safe side.

What do you guys think?

I know of guys that have used it and said it wasn't so good. It's tight and fits like a wetsuit which tends to show curves (I hear it's tight around the hips more than the chest). What I've done that works is wear an underworks 997 binder and a rash guard. The 997 will get sand in it, and can be bothersome but it works.

Yeah I've thought about that too, using my 997 and a rash guard and getting another 997 just to wear on normal bases. Thanks for the tip and feedback bro, I apperciate it.

I had no issues at all swimming with a 997 and a rash guard.
That actually prompted the cutting the bottom off mentioned in another thread, because I was concerned about the rolling making the binder obvious under the rash guard.

It could look like it's wrinkled. You know with clothes and stuff gets wet, it kind of bunches up? Rash guards do the same...maybe it looks like that?

When I swim...which I don't do anymore cause I'm severely self conscious about my chest even when it's as flat as possible...I used a tri top then a T shirt. But now, I don't think I'd be comfortable like that. It would show too much of my chest, and the lack of the flatness in between the pecs.

i use a short binder and a swimshirt/rash guard....i prefer swimshirts (e.g.under armour, oversized) over rash guards because they're not "fitted", so they won't give away curves as much. the binders work fine when wet....probably better than any binding swimsuit material would

i was going to buy the underworks swimsuit, but it got a lot of bad reviews...
i just swim in a tight underarmour shirt and swimming trunks.. nothing over the shirt and nothing under it. it works. i guess i pass, cuz two girls were flirting with me at the beach today

It all depends on chest size and body type. =)

I've swam with a thin champion shirt and a tshirt over it, with trunks.  It didn't look great, but then again I am a fat guy with a large chest.  Your mileage may vary.
