Breast size on Hrt

I have been reading lots of topics on here and in the Wiki about how breast size and shape differs depending on your age when starting on Hrt.
For instance if one were to start whilst in thier teens to early twenties there is a good chance the person will have a naturel looking breast.
But the older one becomes the breast may not devolp to full shape looking like a GG breast.

My question is then if this so then how many here will have implants so that they have a more naturel looking breast ?

The reason I ask is, it is another op I have to consider if I want to pass in public in the summer.  :)

I began HRT at age 61, and my breast shape was natural but 'perky' for my age.

I did have breast augmentaion after SRS for size.  Now 69, I'm still 'perky.'

I have found all the info about age and genetics to be completely anecdotal and inconsistent.  According to everything I've read, my breasts shouldn't be the size they are. :P

Hi Melissa, I know its off topic but is your cat a Devon blue ?

I know that we all differ in body shape and that will be reflected in the shape of bodies whilst on Hrt.
there is no one shape and because of this that make us all unique.

Its nice to hear and see you both once again.

Like everything else, its different for everyone.  If you don't like your breasts male, female, whatever do something to change how you feel about them.

Just like women, breasts come in all different shapes and sizes.  However, the data I can find suggests waiting four years, TS or not, from their first signs of growth until you can safely assume they've stopped growing.

Lolli, don't fall into the trap that "I must have perfect breasts to be a woman".  Breasts have nothing to do with being a woman as women come in all shapes and sizes.  Some are "A" Cups all the way up to "DD" Cups and larger.  Personally I don't think you should consider having breast augmentation in order to "pass", it is not needed.  Your money would be better spent elsewhere at this point in time.  Give HRT time to work.  Typically you can expect to start experiencing changes to breast tissue anywhere between one to three months, and then as many experience, your breasts will develop/grow in spurts.  For example in your first year of HRT your breasts may develop to an "A" cup and seem to stop growing from anywhere from 6 to 12 months, and then start to develop/grow again.

If you intend to get breast augmentation to improve your physical shape (many women do and there's nothing wrong with that) then be sure that your breasts have stopped growing as augmenting an "A" cup breast to a "B" cup can cause you problems in the future should your breasts start another growth spurt.

Just my thoughts.

I started HRT at 53-1/2, then quit (family crisis) then began again a few months after my 54th birthday.  I have a friend who is 20 years my junior who is jealous of my development.  At least she was before she had BA.  ::)

I don't think I'll be getting augmentation. Implants don't look quite real; so I'm told they don't feel quite real; it's one more thing to recuperate from - and then there's numbness (eek!!!) to deal with. Now it'd be great if I can grow a decent amount on my own (between spurts right now... c'mon already, gah! :P ) and genetics would predict that I will, but from the posts here in this thread I guess it isn't necessarily so.

I think your all right.
I wont be doing the silicone route but I needed first had expierence from others like Tink about the pitfalls.
Steph I will wait and see time wise as to what happens.
I think a D cup is an realistic size to hope for and I dont think I want anything lager than a C at most.

There are resources out there to give you some idea of an average cup size based on bra size. The last thing you want, for just about any reason you can imagine, is to be "top heavy".

I dont need any more added weight in front of me to cause me to go over the bars as it is.
I can do that easily enough as it is  :)

Back when I was an A cup (around 5 months HRT), my breasts passed just fine, so you really don't need a whole lot there to get by.

Hello Lolli,
Also keep in mind that it takes years for a female's breasts to develop (it took about 6 years for mine to fully develop), so what you have after a year of HRT, may not be what you will end up with.
You may want to wait several years to see what 'develops' before considering implants.

I went to B in just 5 months, stopped HRT because the reason for taking Premarin was solved...and I have just this past week re-started with Progynova. The B's never diminished or lost their perk in the intervening years since 1986 until now.

Immediately...in two days, my body and urine odor changed but I am not feeling any enhanced breast soreness (that means growth).

This time I am also on Casodex....let's see how things go.

Funny...my doctor (endo) in the VA told me that it would be a good idea for my BPH and osteoporosis..and recommended dosage and type..although they could NOT provide me with the cross-gendered treatment until my BPH turns cancerous.

Prostrate cancer killed my dad, his brother (my real dad) and his father. My daughter has had breast cancer, my mom died of liver cancer and I obviously need close watching for cancer too. The estrogen is gonna help for most of those conditions; Casodex for others.

I get liver panels every infusion treatment..not the typical chemo..but a test delivery of Fosomax via IV. That happens every 30 days...so I will know pretty quick if I get my liver into distress.

The infusion is really bad...it hurts like all hell and burns for hours...so they are watching very carefully.

Don't get old...or have a history of riding motorcycles.

To Jodie,

I am very sorry for your predicament.  I went through a year of fear because I am only 26 and at the time 23 and I was diagnosed with BPH.  After 5 different specialists from 3 major hospitals in the north east I was safely cleared of any cancer.  Mine is actually caused by a birth defect and a malformed prostate.  I actually went through a phase of suicidal behavior was a very dark time.  To have problems with the part of my body I never wanted was an ultimate slap in the face, or atleast then thats how I thought of it.  I know now that the prostate is a valuable part of SRS and I now cross my fingers hoping its healthy enough to survive the procedure.  I also hope that it doesn't prevent me from being allowed to have SRS.  Its a long road ahead for me though.

As for Breast size, I'm only 2 months in on full blown HRT and I went from a Nearly A to about an A cup.  Things are at their sorest point now since starting so I'm guessin I am about to find out how lucky I am genetically(mother and sister were d's before pregnancies).  I don't care what my breasts look like I just want to be rid of body hair and everything else maleness.  I guess I'm more hating man than loving woman I think.

age is simply just a factor or "chance".... for example if you have fully gone through puberty when your 17 and someone whose 22 hasn't gone through puberty fully- I'd say the 22 yr old has a better shot.

Health and diet has a effect believe it or not. Take care of yourself

Trading prostate size for breast size is one of the best things that have ever happened to me. And I'm not even on HRT, just finasteride. I've only been taking the pills since November, but I can tell the difference. Though, for perspective, I went to the cardiologist last week. He had me take my shirt off and said nothing--a simultaneous frustration and relief. Then, listening to my heart with his stethascope, he brushed a nipple, and I had to restrain myself from saying: "That feels good, do it again."

My face and rear end may be changing, too, but I'm not sure yet. I like the idea that my own estrogen is causing these changes, and I feel no pain or soreness. The latter means, I suppose, that true HRT is more effective. The good news is that the doctor said I'm healthy, so there may yet be time left for changes.

Reading the words of others who'd qualify to join the AARP, bouys my spirits considerably.

Hoping we all get breasts the size and shape we want,
Simone
