Authorities are determined not to let the two-year-old murder of Tony "Delicious" Green, a transgender African American woman, fade away as they attempt to gather enough evidence to make a case. The case is languishing in part because of a culture of witness intimidation, according to the victim's sister.

At least one of the suspects in the August 13, 2004 motel murder of Green has been seen around the Bayview District where the murder occurred. A Bayview motel manager discovered Green's naked body, hog tied, strangled, and asphyxiated, with a plastic bag over her head, and beaten with a table leg.
