Another alternative?

Ok, putting all beliefs aside, think about this question. I just kinda wanna know other's opinions, I'm open to them all.

If someone told you that you wouldn't have to go through therapy, T prescriptions or pay for both surgeries, because they promise you a perfect male body IF you stick it out in a female body for a little while longer, would you take the offer?

I'm sure most of you can guess where I'm getting this from (so like I said, putting all beliefs aside, just focus on the question) and by no means am I preaching anything, I want to completely transition right now if I could, but this question just won't leave me alone. I'm kinda torn for an answer from myself.

So any opinions, thoughts? Thanks guys for reading

That I'm not sure of, not much longer I feel.

This all came about from a conversation I had with my mom, who is Christian (and don't let what I'm about to say change how anyone looks at the question) and she told me something that I never really thought of before. She said that God will not put you in situations that he feels you cannot handle. And also, God has the power to give you what your heart desires and give you everything you didn't have in this system (if you believe in an eventual paradise here on earth, my beliefs.....another story) so its just really got me thinking.

Right, well I've had similar thoughts, but I couldn't decide if I should take that saying in a way that God feels I can handle the transition or handle my situation for the present time

failing to do so would be the big violation of faith for me

Wait a little longer, which I have to do anyway, to get the body i want.

Sure.
That being said, I'm still technically a "kid" and have to wait 3-5 years to physically do anything in the first place.

If all I had to do was just wait a little longer, sure.  If it took two years, fine.  Five years, fine.  I'd possibly even wait ten years if I was absolutely positive I'd magically be granted a perfect male body.  I'd even present female and be a "good girl" and all that.

I can tell you right now though, when I hit puberty I thought that if I just waited "a little longer" it would end, and I'd be a boy the way I was supposed to be.  I kept waiting a little longer, and then a little longer, and nothing has happened.  I used to be a Catholic.  Now I'm not.  Now I'm just tired of waiting.  Nothing is going to happen if I just sit around and wait.

I'm 33 now and I would wait alittle longer if I could have the perfect male body, although I am going through the nhs in the UK so its going to take a LONG time anyway.

Nope, sorry.  Not just going to wait around for some hypothetical possibility even if there was a magic potion. 

Now that I have started transitioning and living my life as male I feel in control for the first time in my life.  Even if the results are a bit slow for my taste at least it's all me doing this for me.  That's an empowering feeling.  Go out into traffic and juggling a few Ford's sort of empowering.

I'm sure you heard of the story of a old woman on the peak of her house in a flood.  One offer from a kid in a canoe, she said no, god will save me, next from a man in a row boat, she said no god will save me. Last offer from a helicopter do last ditch rescues as the water climbed. She still said no , god will save me. Well, she drowned of course. She gets to heaven's gate and asks why god didn't save her. The reply,...I sent help 3 times and you didn't take it.


You may have been given a challenge but you now have the knowledge and motive to transition, if you don't well god won't give you infinite chances, you will die sooner or later. You choose to believe in god, then choose to be smart at the same time, think for yourself and do what you must but don't wait for god to magically give you a perfect body.

I do remember the saying of god helps those who help themselves. So help yourself.

No. In fact, I don't believe in going to Heaven after death. My religious beliefs explain it, but I didn't post this subject to discuss God or religion. Simply to ask a question.

P.S. Who is this "someone"? I don't really trust nebulous offers/guarantees with no evidence to back them up. What is the nature of the guarantee?

I don't believe in such an offer, but if such a guarantee were made to me and I really did believe it, I would wait. Well, I guess it depends on how long it would take. Would rather transition now than when I'm 50.
