Thanks Val! I'm so invested in this because it's the only thing that makes me feel like this. Once I started thinking about transitioning and I accepted myself as a trans woman and not gay, my whole life changed. I know it's only been like a month or so but I've never felt like this.

Thanks Helena! I don't think there's anything stopping me. Before I realized I was trans, and I thought I was gay, I never had problems with my body, other than weight, but more and more each day I get frustrated that I look like a boy! I can't wait to get on HRT

Well I do like men for casual sex on occasion I do not prefer to do so espescialy with the curent config. But I will relent and do it anyways if given the oportunity, I am willing to run the risk of a dysphoria attack to have sex.

Most of the men I have had 'gay' sex with (well over 200) were not interested in anal either direction, giving or recieving. The reality does not pare up with the comon belief, which is all gay men want to do it in the ass.
Most either wannna give or recieve a BJ or handjob.
However there are plenty that do like it and expect it.......

Kimberly, there isn't anyone that can "stop" you from transitioning except you. I don't think it's a question of not being "allowed" but more a question of will you do it. You seem very sure in the fact that it's something you really want to do, and once you are over 18 (if you aren't already) you can make your own decisions, and take the first steps toward that goal.

Some people have asked, "why not just live as a gay male?" and the answer is simple... I'm NOT a gay male. I won't even have a relationship with a man until I have had SRS so that I can have it the "right" way, as a woman. I have even heard that many post-op M2F end up living as straight women even if they leaned more toward females pre-op.

In short, don't listen to people who don't know what they are talking about, as they are most likely going on misinformation or their own misguided theories. Move at your own pace, and do what is right for you, not anyone else!

Thanks April! I just turned 19 yesterday and I started therapy last monday, so I'm on my way! Just getting so restless!!

I know how you feel! I've been on HRT about 5 months now, and it seems to be taking forever! There ARE changes, but being stubborn and impatient, I want it all now =]

I've only had one session but he seems great with the transgender issue. I was so scared going in, but he was so easy to talk to and hopefully I can get a letter this week. lol. I know I can't get one that soon but a girl can dream!

I walked into my therapists office the first time in near shock. By the end of the first session I was doing great. At the end of my second visit she told me she would have no issues writing me an HRT letter, however she told me I would have to wait 3 months as per SOC. When the 3rd month came by I had my letter.
