Hello everyone,

My name is Veronika. I am 36 years old, MtF, started transition 18 months ago. I have been lurking and reading posts off and on here for a couple of years, and I thought that perhaps it was time for me to contribute a bit to the conversation.

I will warn you all, I have a keen insight, rapier-sharp wit, and an extremely dry, corny sense of humor. Moderators, be prepared to add a "Ba dum bump TSHHH" to the end of my posts once in a while! :)

Even though I do have my ups and downs like everyone, I think it's important for us to remain positive and maintain a sense of humor about ourselves and our situation. Transition can be difficult for sure; but it's a fascinating journey, and has more than its share of wonderful moments.  :)

See you in the forums...

Vee

I was the same way. I spent a year or so just reading the forums before I created an account, and even now that it's been nearly four years I've had this account I still only have a handful of posts under my belt.

Welcome to Susans.

Hi Veronika, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 5300 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Hugs and Love,

Takes one to know one, Vee!

Many of us here are JUST like you, witwise, thiswise and thatwise.

Alas, alack and anon, Good Vee, methinks your I.Q. is, perchance, of the most extraordinary sort.  No surprise!  Many transpeople are a great deal smarter than the general run of the population.  I'm going to do a series of wiki (Fie upon me for a lout!  I misspelled wiki ... and had to go back and correct it ... Sorry 'bout that, hon!)(Proves I ain't got no brains!) articles about exactly that subject presently.

Feel free to sally forth with rotomontades aplenty, and we will savor them with utmost relish, me faire lass!

Welcome to Susan's Place ... glad you're here.

P.S.:

On the serious side, yes, you are SO right.  Transition DOES have its WONDERFUL moments!  I'm absolutely finding that out.  I'm now 7+ months into HRT and, all in all, am having the the time of my life ... even if I do get some raised-eyebrow, side-long glances at the mall and other public places.  What a journey!  Wouldn't miss it for the world.  Welcome to Susan's Place and DO post OFTEN.    :D
Believe.  Persist.  Arrive.    :D

Thanks for the welcomes, everyone!

And yes, Lacey, I have noticed that many transpeople seem to be a tad smarter than the average bear! Most of my musings, and my humor, are lost on the general population. Though I'm not trying to convey a sense of superiority, I do dislike having to dumb myself down. I'm always pleased when I don't have to! :-)
