My Angel
An angel came to me, last night
With smile of sunrise, warmth of love
She put her arms around my soul
And wiped the tears of pain and sorrow
She knew the pain for she once was
A mortal soul hurting and lost
Angel of mercy, angel of grace
Eternal love throughout her face
I couldn't ask for greater gift
To look upon her face I did
And all my hurt and all my pain
She took away and kissed my cheek
She is the wisdom, she is the light
My soul she holds in safe embrace
She carries me with lightest heart
I wish for you to know her face
