So I had a question. My adam's apple doesn't begin to match my voice which now sounds like Darth Vader. Do cisguy's adam's apples generally match the pitch of their voice...ie...a higher voice = smaller apple, lower voice = bigger apple.

Also, after a chain of events today that got me to thinking...I filed my name change.  ;D :o I should be saving for a car and whatnot but it's a long story filled with rage and anger and dysphoria. But I have the most beautiful piece of paper I've ever seen now. It's the receipt from my filing that says old name...new name: Leo Kaiden ________. I swear I'm saving this thing forever. I'll know my court date in "about 2 weeks". I should get my gender marker papers back around the same time as my court date so I'll kill off two things at once.

Also I saw my doc and my T levels are 681 which he said is very good considering that I've only been on T for 10 weeks. He's letting me switch to every 10 days for my shot so I don't get into that whole mind**** in the end of the shot cycle.

;D

not at all. the only correlation i ever found was between very pointy weird looking adam's apples and screeching, annoying male voices  :icon_redface:
my brother and my dad have almost invisible adam's apples but very deep voices, so no need to worry :)

congrats on the name change!

I do not think there is any corolation. I have no adams apple discernable at all but my natural range is bass/baratone. (yes it makes doing a girl voice almost impossible)
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Same here, no correlation.  My favorite actor has a very prominant apple, but his voice is actually rather high for a dude.  Besides, James Earl Jones himself doesn't have a noticeable apple, so I wouldn't worry about it. ;)

From what others have said it is evidently not correlated, although as it happens I do have a natural contralto voice (low end of normal female) and no apple whatsoever.

Like everyone else has said, the Adam's apple has no relation to the deepness of the voice.
I found that my Adam's apple has really started to thicken out since about 4 months on T.

I think weight has a big part in how visible it is. If you have a low body fat percentage it can be more noticeable since you won't have much fat in your neck area, whereas if you have a higher body fat percentage it would be less visible due to having some fat in the neck area. That's just something I've noticed though, not necessarily like that for everyone.

I know one guy who has a huge adams apple but his voice is natrually very high (to the point where he *almost* sounds like a girl)

Don't think the two are related.
