Hello, I'm considering purchasing my first binder and have come across some very contradictory advise while searching the internet up until now. I was so pleased to come across this forum because it's so much more in-depth than everything I've encountered previously! So thank you all for helping me along so far! But I'm still a little confused and decided the best thing to do was to ask!

I'm planning on buying from Underworks, but the heavy shipping to my country makes it a very pricey blow to my lightweight wallet, so I want to be sure I get as close to the right one as possible the first time around.
I'm a big wuss so comfort's quite an issue for me! I want the binding to be good, but I care more about being able to wear it confidently and comfortably than having it visually perfect. I'm interested in the 997 because I have a slight tummy and I'm worried the tri-top will make my gut even more obvious, but I'm concerned the tummy compression will prove too much for me, discomforture wise. My friend (we're ordering together to save on shipping) is thinner and is considering the 988, but is in the same boat as me with regards to cluelessness about binder purchase.
I've had two differnt people tell me two diffent measuring techniques, and both give me an entirely different size! Could you tell me what I should be going for?
I'm a UK GG (confirming double G here, not a typo) cupsize. I think that's an F in US sizing, I'm not sure. But the measurments I took (whilst breathing in deeply) were 28 around my ribcage just below my boobs and 36 around the widest part of them.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Sorry for any inconvenience!

*edit* My friend (Also in the UK, and who is now also thinking about getting the 997) asked me to ask your opinion on their measurments too. Basically, roughly an F cup (unsure) and with the following measurements : 27 around the ribs (28 when deep breathing) and 33 around the wide part of the boobs.

Thanks again for your help, we both appreciate your advice ^^

Hi Thursday,

Am also in the UK, and waiting for delivery of my first Underworks binder...watch this space!

You need to take an average between your body under the boobs, and the widest part of your boobs, then match the average up with the sizings on individual products. As you've got a big discrepancy between the two measurements (and weigh in at a GG), it'd probably be worth contacting the company for advice - they seem to be quite happy for customers to get in touch. I think your friend should find things a bit more straightforward.

Good luck!

there are two european sites i can recommend to you:

http://www.transtoy.de/index.php?cat=c8_when-breasts-are-bind.html&XTCsid=7eca52d57fc2380d40f367618395e306
the "triple" is actually the tri-top from underworks.

http://www.danae.info/eng/trans-mission/webshop/products/woman-to-man/trans-vormer-top

Danae is awesome. She will help you with sizing and you can even get a custom size. Shipping costs are rather low.

edit: don't get a custom size from the transtoy site, people have complained they don't fit well. When ordering a custom size from Danae, you may substract about half an inch from your actual measurements, which will make your binder still fit but tight enough to really press them down. I am thinking your size does indicate towards the tritop...but I'm pretty sure Danae will be happy to add a third layer to any of her styles as well for you.

In my experiences the double front/long binder works better than a tri-top for a large chest. The tri-top fit really weird. The front wasn't tight against me because my chest size is so large while the double front will smooth everything out.

When I bought my newest binders from Underworks, it took only 6 days for them to arrive. And that was in the middle of the Ash-cloud incident. I was really impressed. They ship Fed-Ex and if you ask them, they will give you the tracking number so you can follow its progress on the Fed-Ex website.

To the OP: with measurements 27 and 33, average is 30" so that's the size you want. That's XS in either the tritop or the double front.

Thank you all for the sizing help and buying tips.
I took your advise, Turtle, and asked before I ordered. I decided to go with the #997 Double Compression from Underworks, and I don't regret it. It arrived yesterday, only taking two days to get here! I'm surprised at just how comfortable it is - I was expecting it to be too constrictive for my wussy nature. It does a pretty good job of flattening, depite my size. I solve the rollup issue by folding the bottom over. Not over my chest - that's too much pressure for me to wear comfortably - but just a couple of inches fold up from the edge seems to be enough to stop it from rolling up very often for me.
Very happy! Thanks guys!
