On the difficulty in getting these people to the show, Moithu said initially they were very reluctant. 'Most of the transsexual persons live in isolation and did not want to mingle with ordinary people due to fear of social boycott', he pointed out. Finally, several agreed to participate in the show, Moithu who also recently directed a reality show with street singers called 'Street Lights', boradcast by Malayalam channel 'India Vision' said. Participants were given flats as prize. The channel on which Chaanthupottu would be telecast was yet to be decided, he said. Since it was a 'revolutionary' concept, the channel has to be selected, taking all factors into consideration.
