Do any of you guys ever think about what month, or time of the year, you want to start T?

For example:
If you're going to school, wanting to start on summer break.
Or if you're in between jobs, wanting to start so when you get another job you'll start new.

Just wondering if any of you guys plan it out. Or just go for it whenever.

I have the same question for top surgery. If any of you plan it for summer break, or how you go about it if you plan it at all.

I wanted to start summer break for school but my therapist has a required number of visits I must make to her. So it's about a week after school starts, which is good too. "ASAP" was sort of the general leaning I had for starting T.

I knew I was starting college this coming September so set myself a target of being on T at least 6 months. So as it turns out by September I'll be about 8 months on T.

Then I wanted to be on T for at least one year before top surgery so I'm hoping to have it done next summer since I'll be on summer break and hopefully saved up all the money for it by then.

But maybe I'm just a bit of a control freak and you should just go for it when you get the opportunity.

I'm thinking about seeing if I can start sometime after I get back from visiting my parents so the changes can already have been in affect about a year before I go see them again, but I'm not certain because I have to student teach at some point.  I'm thinking about at least trying to get a breast reduction or something along those lines done (the weight is killing me) at least before I student teach and then I might start T before I start my job in 2012.

But if I got an opportunity to start now, I'd probably go for it.

I made the appointment for ASAP. I had no choice in the date and unfortunately its not until February.

I started T the week after I graduated college - that was the deal I made with my dad when I came out to him.  I then had a few months before I moved away and started a new job in a new city and being that T works so quickly nobody had any idea by the time I started my job.

I think the doctor im trying to see will only require a couple of visits, if I get to, but id have to wait a couple of months for an appt.

Im hoping to be on T at least 6 months before surgery, but idk how im going to save up enough withinin a yr. So it'll probably end up being a couple of years.

I just wanted T as soon as possible. I ended up doing my first shot on new years eve which was pretty cool. I'm taking a year off from school this year so that i can focus on getting top surgery and a job and all my name change stuff figured out. I'm trying to schedule my surgery around my girlfriend's school breaks.
Call me a cheat but I make my own fate.

I plan on going on T as soon as I can. I might be able to in september, not long after my 19th birthday.  :)

I started T yesterday. :) I pretty much had three criteria for the ideal starting date. #1, After I had gotten a new job as my affirmed gender, #2, When I had all my letters from doctors, and #3 ASAP. The first few days I had on leave from work I started T.

I'm trying to fit top surgery in between Fall and Winter quarters this school year. Can't afford to take a quarter off.

I don't think I can afford time off of school either, im going to try to plan the same once I have enough $$.

Carson, sounds like you have a good plan. Id do the same, if I could. I hope by the time im ready for it financial that ill have someone by my side.
