Multi-Diode laser? Difference with (normal) Diode laser?

Has anybody tried it?

I've been lasered with Diode laser many times and am considering to go to another clinic that uses Multi-Diode. I have no idea what the difference between Diode laser and Multi-Diode laser is. Multi-Diode may be faster? I just wonder if it is just as good/effective as Diode. Does anybody know?
