Hey, I'm James. I'm a 19 year old FTM. I started T a couple days ago, suuuuper excited about that.

A little about myself.. I work at Apple, been there for about a year and I love it. Absolutely everyone there is supportive about my transition; I do believe it has something to do with who they hire, the type of person really. If any of you love Macs and need a job, go apply to Apple! It's awesome.
Anyway..besides fixing iPods and iPhones, I enjoy a nice violent video game and boobs. But not together.

I suck at writing about myself. Back to the point of this post, I joined the forum because it's such a community here. I've been reading the FTM stuff for a while and I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!

If any of you guys are on youtube, hit me up! Always looking for new friends.

James, our interests and age are the same it seems :) You have an awesome job. The Apple store near me is always fully staffed when I check sadly. Congrats on starting T and welcome to the forum  ;D

I just got an Xbox 360 a few days ago actually :) I have yet to sit down and figure it out more than just playing GTA IV on it though lol I'll definitely have to apply next time I go in

Hi James, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 5600 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

Does having a Hackintosh count as loving Mac? I am really a much more Linux person, but with the amount of Ipods I have fixed, I have to think it would be a natural fit to work at Apple, too bad the nearest location is like 40 miles away (or 2 hours on the local interstate...Traffic sucks). In any case it must be great having a job that is tolerant.

Welcome to the forums, I am sure you will enjoy your stay.

You seem insane. I like that.  8)

I added you on YouTube...and I'm usually lurking and reading posts here, so call out for Star and I'll be there in a jiff.

That said, congratulations on T, and good luck.

Thanks everyone!

And Hikari, as far as a tolerant job..it is until someone comes in asking what an iPad is and I want to rip what little hair I have out. This happens at least 50 times a day hahaha so sick of them. IT'S JUST A GIANT IPOD OMG

Welcome!  Apple?  You are at a GREAT company.  To me, Steve Jobs is the greatest entrepreneur of our time, not Bill Gates.  Steve understands both his customers and his employees.  Anyway, glad you're on T.  It will be a great transition for you.  You're so young that you can, and will, have a full and great life as a guy.  My best to you.
Believe.  Persist.  Arrive.    :D

Actually, Jobs made a crucial mistake, and continues to make it, and it may kill Apple one day. He keeps all the codes for Apple locked up tight. No one else but Apple can run a Mac...technically. There's ways around, but Apple has become very much closed in, rather than open.

That said, still a great company, I do all my media through them, but I'm a Microsoft girl.

I agree, I installed Mac OS Snow Leopard on my MSI Wind, and Apple came up with an update to kill off support for the Intel Atom CPU, effectively telling me they didn't want me buying their operating system. I still run it occasionally, but I usually run Linux as I don't think people have found a way to make the new versions of Mac OS run on the Intel Atom without doing some major hacking that is probably illegal anyway (via an incredibly restrictive license agreement that comes with Mac OS).

I have to admit though, their computers are just too attractive not to want to buy, and Mac OS is rather sleek and simple, while still giving me a powerful Unixish command line however....The price tag usually snaps me back to reality.
