Been there.  Done that.  I'm age 54 and soon to be 55.  I've been on hormone replacement therapy for just over 8 months.  My advice?  Start the process.  Face it:  You're transsexual.  Seek a qualified gender counselor in your area to officially diagnose you and get on hormone replacement therapy.  Is transition right for you?  Sounds like it may be, but only YOU know for sure.  Like you, I very much "feel the press of time."  It's now or never, so you know what you have to do.  Trust your intuition.  Does your head say no, but your heart say yes?  Go with your heart, hon.

Good luck to you!    ;)
Believe.  Persist.  Arrive.    :D
