Half-Term Paul Scott has lost his bid for the Republican nomination for Michigan Secretary of State.

State Rep. Paul Scott fell short in his bid to win the Republican nomination for secretary of state -- now he says he's focusing on winning re-election to the state House.

    ...

Scott, R-Grand Blanc, finished fourth in the five-person race with 335 votes.

And yet he won nevertheless...

assuming, of course, he actually wants whoever might happen to hold the position of Michigan Secretary of State - Ruth Johnson perhaps - to unilaterally snuff out the state's transsexual birth certificate statute.

In the long run, society favors progress.  Bigotry and prejudice eventually lose out.  Maybe people like Johnson and Scott will benefit personally from their bigotry but eventually history will show them to be what they really are.

A lot of politicians want a legacy and quite a legacy these people will get.
When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.
