Local playwright Jen Sikora is bringing a different kind of play to Flint's theatrical stages this weekend — one that's bold, daring and blurs the lines.

For her thesis project for graduate studies at the University of Michigan-Flint, 30-year-old Sikora has produced "Paid Programming" — a social satire that weaves the comedy of infomercials into the emotionally-charged life of a transgender man. The play is set to be performed at UM-Flint and Buckham Gallery over the next two weekends.
