> Sadly, my dad is allergic so we've never had one.
> Or a dog for that matter but dogs were always messy loud animals in my opinion. D:

> When i move out, the first pet i ever get will definitely be a cat. I don't know what color or anything yet, but it'll be a shorthair, and possibly something skinny and elegant. Like the greyhound of cats! XD

> Does anyone here love cats? Do you own any? Any stories to tell? Any stresses?

I like cats and would like to get one or two but I do have a slight allergy to them so they would def. have to be short hair

I hear Siamese's can be loud but they are a very sleek cat, also I've never seen a "big boned" black tabby. I own a Blue Russian, kinda chubby, but not really fat. Some stresses people complain about are litter box smells, but I've never had that problem. I don't use clumping litter, it can be bad for your cats, and plain old clay litter is flushable and better for the environment. I only put a small amount of litter in her box and change it twice a day so it's always clean. I hope you find a great cat, there's plenty at the shelters.

The Mús (read moose, means mouse, is a cat) is on the sofa next to me, cause she missed me while I was on work.
She's sooo "my" cat, even if she's technically my sister's.

@Virginia: I hope it's manageable for you! D:

@Hurtfulsplash: Yeah i hear that about Siamese cats too ehehe. I've seen pictures of Russian Blues, they're so lovely~. Thank you for the tips on the litter box!

I had the Russian Blue and the Siamese cat as a child and would wish one or both of them... But I also like the Manx and the Orange stripe and the Scottish fold

Probably I will look around at the shelters and get the one/two that has a cute personality  :icon_chick:

The only complaints I have are when they puke on the carpet or bite my toes when I'm sleeping or knock stuff over

@Virginia: Hm...i never thought cats to be so clumsy, lol. I kind of like it when they make biscuits on your tummy or something. So cute :D
Scottish folds are an interesting breed.

@Flan: I know you! *points*
Yeah i need to wait until i go to my 4-year college, because i may not be able to keep one wherever i decide to go...

LOL... No, they are not often very clumsy... But they do like to get up and play with stuff

Actually, I've only had one that was really ill behaved... Her name was Squeaker Berni... such the mischievous one  ::)

All the cats I've had never really gave me any problems, but then again I had them spoiled half to death. The litter box didn't stink too much, cause I would get litter that had some kind of oder block in it. But I can tell you this and trust me on this, don't ever try giving a cat a bath they will scratch the pee outta ya something evil, and if your lucky they will eventually get mad and give up and just lie down in the tub til your done. I had one cat named Coco Vampire Kitty, and he lived up to his name, he loved to attack feet and just bite the crap out of em. Bugged me a bit but then I would just swat at him enough to get his attention, if that didn't work I'd get after him with a spray bottle. 20 minutes later he would do it again though.

Z, I found a kitten trapped in an old building and it was gorgeous and it came along just when I was really down from being labelled too depressed to get therapy.  It was the silliest cutest cat ever though it did annoy me by fishing for my goldfish. Then one morning I put it out for a few minutes while I got ready to go out. It didn't come back so I had to go catch the bus. Never saw it again until six months later my neighbour sold his old car that hadn't run for a year and we found kitten had climbed up inside engine and gotten trapped over the radiator shroud and starved to death.

Pets are not allowe din this new apartmnet but as soon as I move I will get a tall longlegged pretty cat.

I have been left with my son's cat after he moved in with his girlfriend in their rented place.   It's true what they say, "dogs have owners, cats have staff!" When he wants to be fed his meow sounds like "Now"!!!

I use cat litter made from recycled paper, it comes in small pellets ane can be dug into the garden. It doesn't react with urine the way the clay does, so doesn't smell.

I have two cats, I have had them since they where 4 months old. Someone must have had them as really young kittens and then changed their minds. I met them at PetSmart in the side area where abandoned pets are looking for new homes. I had only been looking for one cat, but when I saw how close they where to each other I couldn't bare the thought of splitting them up so I brought them both home with me.

I ended up naming them myself because they didn't have any names listed in the paper work. I call the black and white spotted short hair Magellan because from day 1 that I knew him he was exploring and very adventurous walking right up to greet me at pet smart and the shy grey tabby Casper.

They are a little over a year old now but I think these pictures of them are so cute.

I love cats!  I was even the proud owner of a cat....for an hour.  I had to turn back and give him back because I'm apparently very allergic to cats.
