OK.  Settle down here.  As an outside observer, your post appears to me to be an attack or at least sarcasm, John.

Let's discuss what is going on rather than nitpicking each statement.  This is a support site.  Let's support each other.

Angela wrote that she is moving in with Michael and that her mother is supportive to the point of giving her her jewelry - a symbol to Angela that her mother expects the two of them to marry.  If I mis-read this portion of the thread, please correct me.

K8 , you have read the thread exactly how I meant it, thanks. I think I was a little hard on John myself as well. Maybe its just me, but it seems that he always says something negative to me in some posts.  But ill leave it at that.

Angela, reading this stuff makes me so happy. I mean, you finding Michael and your mother being supportive of the relationship and all that stuff.

I wish you the best of luck and the most of joy and happiness.

I'm British, what may come across as sarcasm is actually humour. However Angela calling me cruel clearly isn't seen as an attack.

John you've been attacking Angela since she was in the accident. Maybe even before. But you have been attacking her for a while and it needs to stop. You may not believe her story but plenty of us do and whether she is sincere or not, she isn't harming anyone so will you please grow up? And her calling you cruel isn't an attack, since you have been treating her with plenty of cruelty.

 :police: Right people

As just a few posts after K8's appeal we seem to be getting perilously close to more personal attacks let me be clearer!

One LAST CHANCE here.

Either we return to topic and cease commenting on each other or the topic gets locked. Your choice!  :police:

Oh and the next person who posts anything even remotely construable as an attack will get an official warning!

Clear?

Good! Carry on...

Angela,  Your post made me cry, in a good way.  Mom must know something about you and Michael.  I hope for the very best for you and Michael, and that you heal well.

Angela

Thanks Janet, I have to apologize for being cranky today. Its because Michael has to work overtime for the next  2 days, and I wont get to see him.

I have to say I'm more than happy to shuffle up alongside dear dear JohnnieR's shoulder here....with what's unravelling here....*s->-bleeped-<-s*

Being an Irish Celt, with a decades long income mainly derived via ad agency copywriting.... (and I also reside in Britain)......and having worked in the US many times since the 80's....I can safely state that many Yanks do fail to get our sense of tongue in cheek irony...

And JR's never been directly attacking in anything he's stated....

But we also know how popular Mills&Boonery be....that's the beauty of soap....tis light, bubbly and fluffy.....and with a quick twist of the tap disposable...

It's appeal for many is a given universal, the Mexican detergent operas I've caught briefly on the Arizona TV channel, while flipping through to HBO in a sense for me, echoes what I see developing here....lol

And a supportive site with entertainment...and a mix of sparring comment – far better surely than just a bland vanillafication....?

Be careful everyone I TOO am British of Celt descent and I have to tell you that I do NOT buy people who say things which can be interpreted as hurtful and then say "Oh but it was only a joke!" I understand what is being said in the vernacular very well.

I took a load of that kind of BS from kids at school in return for my openly transgender presentation... and tonight I am still feeling under the weather from flu so don't push your collective luck please or I WILL make good my threats.

(Ok I'm going now so you can all carp about my sense of humor failure tonight behind my back with my blessing!)

Well, I'm American for better or worse, but I too have a British background and am of Celt descent and understand what is going on here.  Let's cut the crap here.  If we can't be supportive or express our opinions maturely and with some concern for others, then this is the end of this thread.

And I don't have the flu. >:(
