Hormone Blockers

I've gone through the majority of puberty already, would there be any point to hormone blockers at this point in time? What exactly do hormone blockers do? And how do you get a prescription/reference/whatever you need to do to get a hold of some? Do they stop the "red death"? I'm curious.
