I met another transexual yesterday. She was pretty, had her boob job and had some hip work done,,overall very pretty, but as I was talking with her I notices that she had hairy armpits. So me being me, thinking that maybe she was unaware  of it I told her. Her reply was, "I like being a transsexual" We parted company shortly thereafter and I didnt get the chance to ask her what it is that she meant...... can anyone here please try to help me with this? I know that for me, I ALWAYS shave them, and everything else for that matter. (me being Italian/Irish doesnt help)

Well, I'm not in the same mindset as she was, but it sounds like she likes blending the two genders in and that defines her.   Which is ok, I suppose.

Armpits aren't really all that big of a deal, really.  There's a lot of women out there that don't shave their armpits.

I, personally, hate body hair.   I always have.   But I'm sure there's some women out there that embrace it.

Many women don't shave.  That is a personal choice, but for me I do not like hairy pits, legs or arms.

A lot of girls will not shave everyday because it's an utter pain, especially in colder weather when you're covered up, it's kinder to the skin not to shave every day.

Yeah ... I honestly know very few women who will shave very often in the winter when everything is all covered up.   Unless, of course, they have a boyfriend.   Then its hit and miss depending on the guy.

Having smooth pits was important enough for me to get laser on them. It would very effectively, though I do get a stray one their every now and then. No biggie....

Albany NY is about $100 for the face. 5 sections, thats $500...
Ouch. (expecially the upper lip).

But then I did pluck my face and breasts for 20 years....

Yeah ... Laser in the Seattle Area for Face and Chest is floating around 600.00.  The place i go is 400 for the face/neck and 200 for chest.

I shave my armpits, and get my legs waxed. Shaving legs is pointless for me, because it just grows back so fast, waxing together with my HRT makes less of it come back. It was pretty nerve-wracking getting my legs professionally waxed, because of what was between them though.

She likes being a transsexual, so she wants to make it apparent enough to people.

Although males being hairless or females being hairy cause some discomfort for some, i find it to be a personal choice of comfort. Ive been shaving my entire body since ive had body hair with the exception of my arms. I associate majorally with the local hippy community and the majority of my female friends are quite a bit more hairy than myself.

I had my arm pits lasered, it is a personal choice, I think hairy arm pits is not very feminine, I don't have body hair, Im just smooth and silky all over, thats the way my Husband wants me lol

I only need to shave my arm pits onces a week and they stay smooth now that I am on HRT.
Personally I hate hairy arm pits on males and females.  It a great place to keep that underarm sweat smell. Yummy! :o :icon_blah: :icon_blah:

I suppose it is personal choice all women get hairy armpits, I hate them and most of us shave them
It does not take that long as I shower/bath everyday

Well in general, some girls (natal and trans) don't agree that women should shave their pits and other body parts while men don't have to.

I just try to go along with gender norms, I like smooth anyway =)

It sounds to me that the person you met who said "I like being transsexual" doesn't know what that means. An MTF TS is simply a woman born in a man's body, simple. As I've stated in other threads a lot of people call themselves TSs and wear it like a badge of honor, something that is different and special, parade it around, etc. It is ok to be happy with who you are as it gives you self esteem and purpose in life. However, if someone is truly a woman in a man's body I don't see why they would be acting any differently than genetic women normally do. I don't even see the point to this whole thread or question. I'm sick of trans women being subjected to femininity standards that cis women would never tolerate. A TS woman is simply a woman period who just needs to change various attributes of her body. Some GGs have hairy armpits and some don't. If being a TS is about how girly you look, the size of your boobs, about "being trans" and comparing yourself to other "->-bleeped-<-s" then you are not a TS but a crossdresser. A TS is the same as a GG in the sense that both care about getting up in the morning and going to work. Unless the issue discussed is strictly the ability to pass well, I'm growing increasingly wary of "TSs" whose focus is looks and appearance (i.e. being feminine) as it sounds like crossdresser talk to me. It reminds me of the endless times I'm in a bar that has a lot of so-called TSs and I'm always being told how I have "no makeup on" despite that I have a pretty standard amount yet GGs will be in the same bar with absolutely no makeup and nothing would be said to them. Or why I shouldn't drink beer because that isn't girly enough. So I can't understand why someone would be concerned if a TS has hairy armpits and I equally can't understand why a TS would want to be perceived as a "->-bleeped-<-" instead of just a woman.

I guess I'm lucky in that I've never had much noticeable body hair... I wax my legs and pits and that lasts a pretty good long while and the two or three hairs I get around my nipples are easy enough to pluck

Plucking my facial hair is a real pain though... I wish I'd never started shaving  :P
