Short Brown Hair

Let's say I want to maintain my hair LIGHT BROWN at 1-2 inches of length forever (for a span of a year), but I do not want it ever to be noticeable that it is not my natural hair. My natural hair being pitch dark brown, almost black except in the sun, and I want a light brown.

Do you think, I would have to bleach my hair slightly every two weeks at home and just put a little semi-permanent hair dye... to cover the bleach.

And it being short, the damage won't be noticeable to the ends.

I'd probably go to your hair stylist, have them do it once and ask about what type of dye they're using. As for keeping your hair short, you're going to need to get a haircut about every 4-6 weeks in order to keep it that length.
