someone said something about that, and then I attempted to do research on it. Does anyone know anything about it?

a rough version of the surgery

in a nutshell, it's better when it comes to scaring on the donor site, but still meh sensation wise, cost, and the need for an implant to get an erection.

Yeah, sorry about that, here I'll give you more information on it. This is the link I went to (WARNING: There are explicit images!): http://www.medical-tourism-in-thailand.com/plastic-surgery-phalloplasty-dr.html

I personally think it's better for various reasons such as you have an assured average size which will mean you can sexual intercourse similar to a bio-male, the donor site has less scar tissue, you can urinate through it like a regular male, etc. But it is true that the sensation and sensation sites are not the same and not as "good". Like, for example, the glans on it does not have the same sensation at all as a real male's. Most of the sensation is in the shaft and the base. You can still get testicular implants with it though, so that's a plus.

One of the major issues with it, is in getting this package from this doctor in Europe, you cannot to it "all at once" like with the Metiodioplasty (There are about six surgeries done all at once and then you're good to go). With the phalloplasty, you can do the other six-ish surgeries and then do stage one but after you have to wait 3-6 months for stage two and then 3-6 months again before stage three. So it takes longer and yes it costs more than the "all at once" package.

I hope this helps! ^^

Obviously, depending on the surgeon the amount of time, stages, money and method will vary. I know that with some surgeons the metiodioplasty is done in three to four stages whereas with some, they can do it all at once. For these surgeries, you just need to do the right research and talk to your counselor I suppose. XP

As far as I know, sexual orgasms can and will still occur but it will not have the same natural feeling as the clit or the glans on a normal bio. For the phalloplasty, I read that the most erotic feeling will be at it's base, which is backwards. But honestly, I think this is much better than the metiodioplasty.
