The actor, known to take a few risks for the sake of good art, appears in drag on the cover of Candy magazine's fall-winter 2010-2011 issue.

Franco has explored sexual identity through the media before, most recently in the film "Howl," and in the Oscar-nominated flick "Milk," among other movies and art projects.
The actor's willingness to experiment with gay and transgender culture has prompted speculation about his own sexual orientation. He appeared on the cover of The Advocate's October issue, and opened up to the mag on why he's attracted to playing gay roles.
