Does It Get Better and If So, For Who? Transgender People Stand Up For Your Rights

The loss of six lives in a week is beyond comprehension. The media and celebrities have jumped on the band wagon. Straight acting LGBT folks are aghast. The problem is this is nothing new. LGBT youth have the highest rate of suicide of any demographic. Transgender youth have the highest rate of suicide within the LGBT community. Things will not get better until LGBT adults stand and fight for their rights. You see, the oppressor is not going away anytime soon. If a group stands united and is vocal enough and organized enough, the oppressor turns to others to oppressor. The work will never be done, unfortunately, until human nature evolves beyond self-centeredness, greed and megalomania.
