Today is National Coming Out Day and activists are using the occasion to draw attention to the effects of bullying and harassment after a series of suicides and violent anti gay incidents.

But the rise in attacks in also generating a widespread campaign to stop discrimination and harassment and support LGBT youth. Today FSRN looks at one of those campaigns, but first we go to San Diego, to look at the experiences of a transgender youth who has faced a lifetime of bullying. Lena Nozizwe has the story.
