Once I get my T letter do I have to pay a lot to see an endo?

the T letter would be coming from an online gender therapist and im from the uk, i dont know whether it would be expensive for me to see an endo? and would they have to specialise in gender identity? i have no idea because previously ive only looked into dr curtis as a means of getting T privately.

also does that letter mean i go to the endo and get T straight away or does the endo have to chat with me and approve it themselves?

Depends on the tests they run. And your insurance or lack thereof.

The endo will need to approve of the T first; they'll check some general health signs to make sure that it's a good option, and may run some tests if they're unsure.  I can't speak for the UK, but my private American insurance covered my endo visit 100%.

Jeez, you're lucky. You must have some awesome insurance. Mine makes me pay 20% so for an endo that can be a lot >_>

My insurance is pretty good, but it does have its flaws.  I pay 100% for prescriptions and get reimbursed 85% at a later date.  It works out okay in the end, but paying 1.000 USD cash at the pharmacy is a little scary.

highly unlikely an online therapists letter will be acceptable in UK. for all anyone knows you could have built the therapists website and letters yourself.

In UK it is GP - shrink - RLE - hormones.  just as it should be.

An endocrinologist. A horomone specialist that monitors your levels, and makes sure you get the desired effects of your horomones, and steers your away from health dangers.

He's right. Prices can vary. I don't live in the UK but here in the US I called many endocrinologists and some had prices low as $150 a visit to almost $500.

That also probably depends on the doctor. Mine told me they would give it to me on the first visit and adjust it as needed. Another doctor I called told me they would have to have a consult first.

Yes and no.

After you get your T letter, you need to find a doctor who is both willing and experienced in dispensing testosterone.  Most commonly, this is an endocrinologist.  You do not have to go to an endo (I never have) if you find a general practitioner with the know-how.
