Ask C. David Johnson about how he feels about being the only man in the cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert: The Musical who doesn't have to wax his body and he arches one impeccable eyebrow.

"And what make you think I don't wax?" is his reply.

Johnson is one of the few men in Canadian show business who can get away with that kind of saucy comment, a guy of such unimpeachable heterosexuality that his presence in the Australian drag queen musical opening at the Princess of Wales Theatre on Tuesday is not unlike Pope Benedict XV going one-on-one with Lady Gaga.
