Debutant director Sivakumar is all set to release his Paal this year. The film, which for the first time features a transgender in the lead, is a simple triangular love story.

Says Sivakumar, "It's the story of a transgender, who falls in love. Paal also deals with the lives of transgenders, who, for the longest time, have led a life of social discomfort. The film will showcase them in a positive light and not have a biased view of their lives."
