Causing confusion

Does anyone else have things like this happen to them...I've had two incidents occur this week that really show that I must be really confusing people. he he

First one was at the start of the week, I was walking home from work, definitely in boy mode, with stubble (i'd had laser at the weekend and always leave my face alone for a few days afterwards) and i walked past to students and one of them says (twice!) "he looks like a bird". I laughed quietly to myself. he he

second one was friday night, out with a friend, we'd gone to our bar because the cocktails are awesome personified...I go into the mens toilets (In boy mode again, though I'd shaved and styled my hair). I was my hands and have a play with my hair just to get it back in shape when the toilet attendant says to me "you make very pretty girl...all you need is (mimes holding a couple of large balls to his chest)". I really laughed at that one.

Has anyone else experienced similar?

Maybe it is time to show the world the true side of Helena.  Although I never had that happen to me, I can see that it would be signs of time to rethink full time.

Yes I got that ALL the time with my stay in the swamps of androgyny for several months it's easing off now I seem to be read as female more now although it still happens somtimes :/ I do worry when pepole stare at me.

It was extremely nerve racking going to the toilet somtimes. I'd go into the guys and be read as female and given evil looks same with the female toilets it seemed like I was just expected to not pee!

Most of what happened to me was "Is that a boy or a girl?" as you walk past. And there answers would vary.
A group of drunk men walking on the other side of the road one of them asked if I was okay (I was alone) I was fine his friend chided him and asked "Was that a man or woman?" his friend responded with "I'm so pissed I don't care anymore."

Another I could hear a couple behind me s->-bleeped-<-ing and giggling about weather I was male or female the man responded with "If it is a girl it sucks to be her."

Two school girls looked and me and started silently whispering to each other as they walked past one loudly exclaimed to her friend "Girl." clearly the answer to the question.

On the way into town collage students "That's a girly looking guy."
And the same group as I walked back from town, "that's a mannish looking woman."

there were hundred of incidents like this after a month or two it becomes pretty tiresome.

Up until last month I presented androgynous or male. I got allot of annoying comments.  It's not to bad it some one makes a mistake as to your gender. It's when they feel a need to explain why. And then they start stumbling over there words, it just makes it worse.

     My wife is very protective of me. For the last year or so she has corrected the people who have referred to me as a girl.( although it never bothered me) She will speak right up and say in a stern voice "you mean my husband". We were out yesterday I was presenting female (as I almost always do now) and the waiter kept calling us ladies. I noticed my wife was getting uptight. I asked what was wrong. It was then she realized I was a lady. We had a laugh. We both thought it would have been funny if she actually corrected the waiter.
   
   Helena, you are cute , and cute girls should not be in the boys room.

I just find it really funny to be fair...especially as I only cause confusion when I'm in (attempting but not really fooling anyone) boy mode. If I make a bit more effort over my appearance, which basically is covering the shadow with foundation, then there's absolutely no confusion what so ever.

The big thing for me is the shadow of doom, I want to be able to leave the house having thrown on a t-shirt and maybe just quickly done my eyes and not to cause any confusion what so ever...all these little incidents kind of make it obvious that I will be able to do that, but until then I'll just laugh at the funny things people say and do.

From my late teens into my 20's that was a pretty normal state of affairs, but that was a LONG time ago.

I never seemed to get a second glance in girl mode (except the good kind) but I couldn't convince anyone in boy mode, which made college kind of strange LOL!

On the positive side, when transition & SRS became possible it was remarkably easy to just relax into girl mode full time.
